The following files were contributed by local historian Patrick Finnegan. He became interested in local history while reseaching his family tree and discovering the U.S. Census of 1870 for the Montana Territory, which he later turned into his second book Taylor Made: Gallatin County's First Census. Taylor Made and his first book, Passages, with co-author Jeri Malby, are available at the Headwaters Heritage Museum gift shop. Patrick writes a newspaper column, Before My Time, published in the Three Forks Herald, and has been the Treasurer for the Three Forks Area Historical Society for five years.
